"Gary's Pi Metal Detector Coils" ©

Due to the increasing number of Requests I have recieved.
I have now designed and built 2 new Coil Winding Jigs for my Radial Flat Coils.

My Standard Coil Sizes
I can make almost any size up to about 13 inches, but its More Expensve.
(Every change in Outer Diameter Requires I make a Special Inner Diameter Core.)

1)   Approximately 8 inch OD and wound with a 20 1/2 AWG wire.
Approximately 45 Turns
Inductance, approximately 400 uhy measured at 1 Khz.
DC Resistance Approximately 0.8 ohms.

This 8 inch coil is $25.00 US Funds Plus Postage.

2)   Approximately 10 inch OD and wound with a 20 1/2 AWG.
Approximately 30 Turns
Inductance, Approximately 400 uhy measured at 1 Khz.
DC Resistance aprox 0.8 ohms.

This 10 inch coil is $30.00 US Funds Plus Postage.

3)   Approximately 12 inch OD and wound with a 20 1/2 AWG.
Approximately 26 Turns
Inductance, Approximately 400 uhy measured at 1 Khz.
DC Resistance aprox 0.8 ohms.

This 12 inch coil is $35.00 US Funds Plus Postage.

WHY 20 1/2 AWG Wire?
I got a good deal on the price of this wire, But its also a Good Size for this application!
However, I also wind coils with 20, 21 & 22 AWG, Depending on my current stock situation.

Why the 400 uH?
It appears to be a Good Value for general detecting.
Reducing inductance values does NOT increase my prices above, If so Desired.
(In Doing this, The Outer Diameter will stay the same but the inner diameter will increase somewhat.)

Note:

1) All Coils are Epoxy Coated, but they should be further mounted on a Rigid Surface or in a Suitable Casing.

2) Each Coil will have the Number of turns Printed on it as well as the Measured Inductance.

3) Postage Costs Will Vary, depending where you live!

4) Orders recieved from "Outside of Canada", "May be subject to Duty and Tax" as Might be Imposed by that Countries various Customs Officals!
Sorry, I have no control over this and I do not want to get in trouble with the governments involved! But usually this is only a few dollars at most!

Enquire by E-mail for details! Be Sure to include the name of your Country.
